Mount the Vicon Vanguard cameras and any optical cameras to ensure coverage and overlap of the tracking volume.

We recommend a volume size of 5 m x 5 m.

You may find that lower cameras (1–3 meters high) provide better tracking than high, downward-facing cameras.

You can refine camera aiming later, using your Vicon software.

Your Vicon Markerless camera has one mounting point on the back of the camera. This mounting point has a ¼" 20 UNC threaded hole, which matches the thread found on most tripods and wall-mount fixing screws.

Ensure the camera is rigidly mounted by clamping it securely to a rail or mounting it on a tripod. For both options, you must attach the camera to a mounting head.

> ⚠️ To avoid overexposure when a subject is close to the camera, do not mount the Markerless cameras close to the Vicon IR lights.
