## Before you begin

Before you begin, ensure the following preconditions are met:

- 1 x PC with Vicon software
- 1 x PC with Unreal Engine 4 installed
- PCs connected via LAN
- Vicon LiveLink Datastream Plugin is installed (see [Install and set up the LiveLink plugin](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/UnrealPlugin15/pages/14582109))
- UE4 project open

## Set up Evoke character

1. Ensure the subject is created and calibrated in Evoke.
2. Take note of the subject name.
  Note that if preferred, you can use the Hat and BackStrap Smart Object Template instead of a backpack and an HMD.

## Set up the character

For setup steps, see [Create Animation Blueprint (body)](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/UnrealPlugin15/pages/14582109/Install+and+set+up+the+LiveLink+plugin).

Use the Evoke sample FBX as the character FBX.

## Check the animation at runtime

The animation is now streaming onto the character as seen in the preview window. The next step is to check the animation is still streaming at runtime.

1. Locate the Animation Blueprint that was created in the previous step.
2. Click and drag the Asset from the content browser directly into the level.
3. On the tool bar at the top, click **Play** and observe the animation data streaming onto the character.

## Package the project

1. Follow the steps found in [Packaging a project](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/UnrealPlugin15/pages/14583196).
2. Launch the executable.
