> ℹ️ The Capture panel is not displayed by default. To view it as a tabbed panel on the left of the Tracker window, from the **View **menu, select **Capture**.

Configure capture settings and review recordings of capture data, using the controls on the **Capture** panel.

> ℹ️ **Note **  
> ℹ️ Some properties are available only when advanced properties are displayed (at the top right of the Capture panel, click Advanced Parameters > Macro (inline-media-image)


    **To capture data in Tracker:**


1. In the **Capture** panel, specify your requirements for recording live data.   
Ensure you specify the required capture folder and a unique capture name.
2. At the bottom of the **Capture** panel, click **Start Capture**. The menu bar changes to display 'Capture Active'
