# Description

Returns the name of the active layer of the active clip. An error is generated if there is no clip on the scene.

string

The name of the active layer of the active clip

## Examples

// Print the name of the active clip
string $clip = `getActiveClip`;

// Print the name of the active layer
string $layer = `getActiveLayer`;
print $layer;
```
