1. Within the **Language & Region** settings, ensure that you have installed the **Chinese (Simplified, Mainland China)** language pack on your machine.
2. Change the **Regional format** to **Chinese (Simplified, Mainland China)**.

## Use a JSON file to change the language for Shogun Markerless

To keep Windows in its default language and change only the language used for Shogun Markerless, use a JSON file to specify the required language as described in the following steps:

1. Create an empty JSON file called *ShogunMarkerless.json* in the following location:
*C:\Users\*<username>*\AppData\Roaming\Vicon\Settings\*
If the *Settings* folder does not exist in this path, create the folder.
:check_mark: **Tip**: If you can’t see the *AppData* folder, it may be hidden. To display the *AppData* folder, in the File Explorer in Windows 11, on the menu bar, click **View,** point to **Show** and ensure **Hidden Items** is selected.
2. Copy the content from the relevant example in [Example JSON files to display Shogun Markerless in other languages](#JSON-example) into the *ShogunMarkerless.json* file that you created in the previous step and save it.

If you are not sure how to create the JSON file or would like the file to be provided for you, please contact [Vicon Support](mailto:support@vicon.com).

> ⚠️ **Note**
> ⚠️ Repeat this method for each subsequent user who wants to display Shogun Markerless in Simplified Chinese.
