The release of Shogun Markerless 1.18 enables you to combine marker-based tracking of clusters for specific performer joints with markerless performer tracking. It also enables you to display Shogun Markerless in Simplified Chinese.

### Hybrid tracking with clusters for feet, wrists and/or head

This feature enables you to combine the precision of marker-based tracking for specific performer joints with the convenience and efficiency of markerless performer tracking, by attaching simple marker clusters only where they are needed. You then create the required clusters as props in Shogun Markerless, constrain them to a skeleton and export them from Vicon Post, and import the resulting VSK back into Shogun Markerless.

For more information, see *[Hybrid tracking with clusters for feet, wrists and/or head](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ShogunMarkerless121/pages/1253507226)* in *Getting more from Vicon Shogun Markerless* and [Work with hybrid tracking clusters from Shogun Markerless](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=ShogunPost&title=Work%20with%20hybrid%20tracking%20clusters%20from%20Shogun%20Markerless) in *Getting more from Vicon Shogun Post*.

### Run Vicon Shogun Markerless in Simplified Chinese

With Shogun Markerless 1.18, you can change the language displayed in the user interface to Simplified Chinese.

## Improvements to Shogun Markerless 1.18

> ![markerless-improvements.jpg](media://c9e606c0-0ea3-49be-b7c0-e4762bd092f1)

Shogun Markerless 1.18 provides overall improvements to performer tracking, enabling you to capture better quality data in terms of both stability and accuracy. These improvements include more accurate wrist rotations, knee bend, foot placement, shoulder motion and improved support for high occlusion poses, such as crossing arms and legs.

## Addressed issues in Shogun Markerless 1.18

These issues are addressed in Shogun Markerless 1.18:

- When a capture is canceled, the .*capture* files are not cleaned.
- Illuminators are not masked.
- Keypoint offset from the labeling skeleton is too great, forcing the head to tilt backward and also pulling the shoulders back.
- After you have scaled a calibration and selected the resulting objects in the Camera Calibration panel, if the scale of the wand and L-frame are the same, a spurious warning that the wand and L-frame objects do not match is displayed.
