In the Graph Plots view, the graph plot modifiers in the toolbar control the type of output for the active channel(s).

The graph plot modifiers enable you to interact with graphs in the following ways.

> Macro (toc)

Note that some options are only available when you select **Show advanced** > Macro (inline-media-image)

. This is noted in their descriptions.

> ⚠️ **Note**
> ⚠️ In a similar way to selecting different **Channel** **Types** with an **Active Channel**, graph plot modifiers will:
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ ▪️ Add an additional set of subplots according to the last selected graph plot modifier (if applicable) if the channel is **pinned**. For more information on how to pin a channel, see [Manage channels](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ShogunLive119/pages/850135446).
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ ▪️ Change the graph type according to the last selected graph plot modifier (if applicable) if the channel is **not pinned**.

## Plot derivatives

| ![DerivativeOrderControl.png](media://da5d4371-b3b9-4190-a8b3-b4b0bfd957fa) | To choose whether to plot normal channel data (**No Derivative**) or a derivative (**Velocity** or **Acceleration**) for the selected channel(s), on the Graph Plots toolbar, click the **Derivative order** dropdown menu. |

## Change the rotation type

> Macro (scroll-tablelayout)

| | |
| --- | --- |
| ![image](media://864f4059-a4ef-4c63-9f9f-60d767f8e657) | To change the rotation type, on the Graph Plots toolbar, from the **Rotation format **list, select the required display:
▪️ **Helical **format. Axis-angle representation comprising a unit vector that indicates the axis of the rotation, scaled by the angle describing the magnitude of the rotation about the axis.
▪️ **Euler** format. Representation is composed of 3 rotations about the axes of a coordinate system in a particular sequence.
The Tait-Bryan set of Euler angle conventions are supported. This is an advanced graph plot modifier. |

## Plot channel magnitude

To plot channel magnitude for the active channel(s), on the Graph Plots toolbar, select the **Channel magnitude** button and then select from the options:

- No magnitude (default), eg, [TX, TY, TZ] for a position. Channel is plotted with all components without any extra modification.
- Absolute values, eg, [|TX|, |TY|, |TZ|] for a position
Each channel component is plotted with absolute value.
- Vector magnitude (length or Euclidean distance), eg, sqrt(TX*TX + TY*TY+TZ*TZ) for a position
Single component plotted regardless of number of components.

Depending on the current selection, when Channel magnitude is activated, the relevant magnitude is displayed.

For more information on how the magnitude may affect an active channel, see [Graph Plots reference](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ShogunLive119/pages/850135474).

## Change the units

| ![btnChannelUnits.png](media://ce4e694c-2799-468e-91a4-915fc94cab74) | To change the units for the active channel(s), on the Graph Plots toolbar, select the **Change selected channel units** button.
**Note**: If you cannot see this option, select **Show advanced** > Macro (inline-media-image)

to display the additional settings.
Choose from the following options:
▪️ **Angle**: Choose between degrees (°) or radians (rad).
▪️ **Length**: Choose between millimeters (mm), centimeters (cm), or meters (m).
Note that the units for each component are displayed with its label along the y-axis. |
