# Description

This command enables you to query your scene for the first frame of the play range.

## Syntax

| `getPlayStart` |

### Arguments

None

### Flags

None

## Return value

integer

Returns the play ranges start frame;

## Examples

```plaintext
int $strt = `getPlayStart`;
print $strt;
// Assigns the result of the getPlayStart command to an integer
// variable called "$strt". 
// Prints the value of the variable to the interface.
```
