You can open a report that was created in Nexus Insight from within Nexus Insight, from within Vicon Nexus, or, if Windows file associations are set appropriately, from Windows File Explorer.

## Open a report in Nexus Insight

1. In Nexus Insight, expand the folder that contains the required report.
2. On the line that contains the required report, click **View report**.
  The selected report is displayed.

## Open a report in Nexus

1. In Nexus, on the **Data Management** tab, navigate to the required report.
2. Either double-click the report or right-click and select **Open**.
  Nexus Insight starts and opens the selected report.

## Open a report from Windows File Explorer

To open a Nexus Insight report from Windows File Explorer:

- In a folder that contains a Nexus Insight file, double-click a file with the extension .*insight*.  
Nexus Insight opens into the relevant report page.

The above procedure only works if the appropriate Windows file association has been set. This normally happens automatically when you install Nexus Insight. However, if Nexus Insight doesn’t open when you double-click a file with the *.insight* extension, you can set it manually as described in [Start Nexus Insight from Windows File Explorer](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/NexusInsight/pages/163685358/Start+Nexus+Insight#StartFromExplorer).
