Download from the [DataStream SDK](https://www.vicon.com/downloads/utilities-and-sdk/datastream-sdk) page of the Vicon website.

For an up-to-date guide on the platforms and technologies supported, see page 1 of the *[Vicon DataStream SDK Developer’s Guide](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DSSDK113/pages/726007858)*.

> ⚠️ **32-bit version**
> ⚠️ Vicon DataStream SDK 1.13 does not support a 32-bit pre-compiled version of the DataStream SDK. If necessary, you can compile independently (or continue to use Vicon DataStream SDK 1.12 or earlier).

> ⚠️ **.NET Framework version**
> ⚠️ To ensure the correct version of the .NET Framework is installed, run the Visual Studio Installer and install the **.NET Framework 4.6.2** targeting pack individual component.

> ⚠️ **MATLAB support changed to use .NET**
> ⚠️ Built-in MATLAB integration has been replaced by .NET, as Mathsworks support the use of .NET directly in [MATLAB](https://uk.mathworks.com/help/matlab/using-net-libraries-in-matlab.html).
> ⚠️ To make use of DataStream SDK 1.10 and later, update legacy MATLAB scripts to .NET.
> ⚠️ To continue using native MATLAB integration, refer to support in DataStream SDK 1.9.

## New features of Vicon DataStream SDK 1.13

This release includes the following new features.

- The Python example scripts have been updated to be consistent with the examples provided for C++ and MATLAB. They now run for each frame and you can change/cancel them when required.
- Vicon DataStream SDK now builds against Apple Silicon (Arm64).
- The datastream now provides the IDs of all the labeled raw reconstructions in the scene using the function GetLabeledMarkerData. For each reconstruction, you can now identify and retrieve specific markers on specified subjects. For more information, see the *[Vicon DataStream SDK Developer’s Guide](https://vicon-help.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DSSDK113/pages/726007858)*.

- Dependency of Vicon DataStream SDK on Boost libraries (DLLs) has been removed.

## Known issues in Vicon DataStream SDK 1.13

The following issues are known to exist in the latest version of the Vicon DataStream SDK:

> Macro (scroll-tablelayout)

| Issue | Workaround |
| --- | --- |
| When playing back previously captured data, the first frame of playback is displayed in the console, but all translations and rotations are 0 and the occluded flag is true. Subsequent frames are displayed as expected. | None |
| If you have installed a recent version of Python 3 (eg, 3.11.#), you cannot install the Vicon DataStream SDK API by running the *.*bat* file from *C:\Program Files\Vicon\DataStream SDK\Win64\Python*. | To install the API, either right-click the .*bat* file and run it as an administrator, or copy the package to a user folder (ie, a folder to which you have access) before running the install script. |

## Addressed issues in Vicon DataStream SDK 1.13

- DataStream no longer returns an error when Object Quality is set to off.
- The Python DataStream SDK now reports the correct version on installation.
- The supplied script *TestClientPython.py* now includes updated method names so works correctly.
