Vicon Active Wand (IR only) and Active Wand Hybrid (NIR & IR) are the latest Vicon reference devices for mapping cameras accurately in a motion capture system. They are used to calibrate both optical and reference video cameras.

Both Active Wand variants feature two sets of 6 x LED pairs on both their front and rear faces:

- One set of LED pairs are the visible LEDs used to support reference video cameras such as Vue, Teledyne FLIR Blackfly® S video cameras and SDI cameras.
- The second set of LED pairs are used to support optical cameras and depend on the specific wand variant.

## Active Wand (IR only) camera support

Active Wand has IR LEDs on both faces and supports the following Vicon optical cameras:

- Valkyrie
- Vantage IR and Vantage+ IR
- Vero IR
- Vanguard
- Viper and ViperX

The following options for reference video cameras are also supported:

- Vicon Vue
- Teledyne FLIR Blackfly® S*
- SDI*

## Active Wand Hybrid (NIR & IR) camera support

Active Wand Hybrid has NIR LEDs on its front face and IR LEDs on its rear face. This wand variant supports the same cameras as Active Wand, in addition to the following cameras:

- Vantage NIR and Vantage+ NIR
- Vero NIR
